For MS4 permitted communities, construction site pollution control is an important aspect of permit compliance. Completing your erosion and sediment control inspections and reporting your findings to the DNR is easier than ever thanks to the recently updated Erosion Control Tool in AssetAlly.
Exporting Data
To begin, log-in to your AssetAlly portal page and navigate to the Erosion Control Inspection Tool under Storm Water Utilities.

Once the tool is open, enter your project site name in the search box and click “Search.”
When you locate the appropriate project, click “View Inspections.”
EROSIOn Control inspection REPORT
To start a new inspection, click “Add Inspection.”
A new inspection report will open. Click the “Edit” button to add information to your report.
When you’ve completed your inspection, click “Save.”
Required modifications
If your inspection indicates that modifications are necessary, click the “Required Modification Description” tab at the top of your report screen.
When the new tab opens, click the “Edit” button. On this page, you can add any data necessary for BMP improvements and adjust the size of your text boxes as needed.
When you’ve completed your notes, click “Save.”
You’ll be taken back to the main report screen, where you can upload photos, edit additional information, or save your report as a PDF.
Once you complete multiple inspections for a project site, you can easily navigate between reports using the First, Previous, Next, and Last buttons.
